In dancing, a dancer is expected to understand the melody of the music he/she is dancing and to have a high sensitivity to the musical feeling. |

Wirasa (rasa = feeling, sense, taste, sensation) |
In presenting a dance, it is not enough to know the technique and choreography. The dancer must be able to unite the feeling of the movement and the feeling of the melody. The result is a dance in a perfect dynamic. |

Wanda (wanda = character) |
In the traditional dances that present/carry characters, the dancer must be able to become that character. |
It requires firm dedication and commitment on the part of the student to work towards mastery of the four principles. Only when an individual has mastered these principles, when everything is done meticulously and thoroughly, can the student truly be called a dancer.
